Nature Drawing and Design Plate XII - 4/5 - Drawing the Bottom Ornament

Plate XII from Nature Drawing and Design
This master copy is based on Plate XII from Nature Drawing and Design, a 1903 book by Frank Steeley.
The plate features three ornamental designs around the crocus, shown at different stages of completion to make the construction apparent.
You’ll find the full plate here if you’d like to follow along. You can also download the complete book as a PDF.
Watch as I complete the master copy of Plate XII from Nature Drawing and Design. During 7 video sessions (4h23 total), I work through the full inking process using traditional tools like the T-square, triangle, and ruling pen. I share the difficulties I encounter and how I adapt as I move through each section of the plate.
